Workmanship on structural steel work and all fabrication shall be in accordance with "Specifications for Design, Fabrication and Erection of Structural Steel for Buildings" of the "American Institute of Steel Construction" (AISC), IPS, latest edition and American Welding Society (AWS) Structural Welding code D1.1, except as modified herein. In the event of a conflict between these specifications and the codes referred to, this Specification shall govern.
